Just For Fun
Here you will find a collection of one-off designs I’ve created to keep my skills sharp and to explore various design concepts.

My Redesign
Homage To A Childhood Passion
As a kid my favorite toy was LEGO. I thought it would be fun to recreate the LEGO website, but with a bit MORE LEGO inspiration.
In this design:
I stayed true to the look and feel of the original website while adding a sense of playfulness, intrigue, and wonder
While the design is perhaps busier than would be desirable for an actual build, it FEELS like LEGO, and makes me want to explore more. This effect is compounded with animations showing elements being built as the user progresses through the site
Most of the static elements that give the design a LEGO look can be converted to images once finalized to reduce slow-down, both in FIGMA and on an actual website build
Neubrutalism
This design explores concepts of neubrutalism, which is a modern take on minimalism.
In this design:
Simple elements with single colors and hard shadows
Bold outlines around elements
Glassmorphism
This design explores Glassmorphism.
It applies transparency and blur effects to create the impression of glass panels.
In this design:
Glassmorphic elements
Slightly blurred background image
Gradient card borders, giving slight illusion of thickness to the pane of glass
Neumorphism
This design explores concepts of neumorphism or “soft UI.”
Changes I made to the original design:
Chose gradient gray background to improve contrast & avoid overbright screen
Improved size and visibility of the card selection indicator dots beneath the cards
Increased typography size for WCAG compliance
Credit to Alex Koin on Dribbble for the original design.
App Sign Up
Who wouldn’t want to sign up for whisky!
A simple app sign up process that includes verification.
In this design:
Ensured typography is WCAG compliant
Just a bit of depth in the input fields
Transparent card with background blur
Website Landing Page
This simple yet elegant design invites users to imagine their next vacation.
In this design:
Attention to white space & hierarchy
Color elements create harmony by matching the water color
“Mizu” (Japanese for water) font was selected to look like brush strokes
Ensured typography is WCAG compliant
Use of shadows to slightly elevate elements
